One long‑standing need on Silver Creek has been expanded access for anglers with disabilities—not just to parking areas and restrooms, but to the water itself. The Silver Creek Alliance, in partnership with Higher Ground, is proud to announce the completion of the first ADA‑compliant, wheelchair‑accessible fishing access on Silver Creek.
This new access point allows anglers using wheelchairs to safely and comfortably fish directly from the creek. We have already heard from many users who report that the site is easy to use and that they have had a great time catching fish there. Seeing Silver Creek enjoyed by more people in new ways has been an incredibly rewarding outcome of this project.
This milestone represents an important step toward making Silver Creek more inclusive and welcoming to everyone. While we celebrate this success, our work is not finished. We are actively seeking donations to help develop additional accessible fishing locations along the creek so that more anglers can experience Silver Creek’s world‑class fishery.
