Silver Creek Alliance was formed in 2016. Our Board consists of Silver Creek landowners, Conservation groups and concerned citizens who love Silver Creek and feel a deep need to protect it. At Silver Creek Alliance we see a need to treat Silver Creek as a whole watershed and address the needs of the ecosystem as such. From its spring fed sources to its confluence with the Little Wood River, Silver Creek has historically been a world-class trout fishery and diverse with wildlife habitat. The Alliance will use all available data, good science and knowledge to educate and give awareness to anyone who desires it. We will assist in every way possible for the improvement and preservation of the habitat that is Silver Creek. Our main goal is in the protection of Silver Creek for the public’s benefit for generations to come.
What We Will Strive to Do
Work with, respect and try to understand the needs of the stream, community, landowners and public.
Working with the Nature Conservancy, NGO’s and agencies we will assist in continued efforts for data collection, expansion and distribution of relevant materials to the public.
Provide assistance towards changes in land use, water use and other efforts for conservation in the Silver Creek watershed.
Continue efforts in education and awareness of the needs of Silver Creek.
